As hosts of volunteers from around the world and coordinators of various development projects with partner NGOs in these communities, WWISA aims to be a conduit for delivering the resources and skills necessary for local development.

Gap Year Programs Partners Plettaid Foundation

The Plettaid Foundation is a non-government, not for profit organisation whose goal is to help the numerous communities within the Bitou Municipality of the Western Cape (South Africa) to respond to the crisis caused by HIV and AIDS. It was formed in 2003 as a result of a call for an AIDS forum at a public meeting called by the mayor of Plettenberg Bay to address the needs of the community, which had arisen from the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
