The Experiment in International Living (EIL Ecuador) is a non-profit organization established in Ecuador in 1977 to encourage intercultural exchange among persons of different cultures, religions and ages. By making it possible for persons of different nationalities to live and learn together, we contribute to mutual understanding, respect and peace among peoples of the world.

International Sustainable Development Studies Institute

The International Sustainable Development Studies Institute (ISDSI) began as an initiative of the Center for International Programs at Kalamazoo College. The Institute exists to help develop experiential educational programs with other schools, organizations or groups. In addition to our core semester length program, People Environment and Development, we also host a number of short term (multi-week) study-abroad, service-learning and related programs.

Gap Year Programs Partners Willing Workers in South Africa

Willing Workers in South Africa works to meet the needs of the communities of the Bitou Region on the Garden Route of South Africa. As hosts of volunteers from around the world and coordinators of various development projects with partner NGOs in these communities, WWISA aims to be a conduit for delivering the resources and skills necessary for local development.

Gap Year Programs Partners Plettaid Foundation

The Plettaid Foundation is a non-government, not for profit organisation whose goal is to help the numerous communities within the Bitou Municipality of the Western Cape (South Africa) to respond to the crisis caused by HIV and AIDS. It was formed in 2003 as a result of a call for an AIDS forum at a public meeting called by the mayor of Plettenberg Bay to address the needs of the community, which had arisen from the HIV/AIDS epidemic.

El Abrazo del Arbol

Gap Year Program Partner Abrazo del ArbolEl Abrazo del Árbol – Farm Eco Lodge is the most cozy and peaceful hotel in Mindo, Ecuador. It is located amongst  14 acres  of tropical rainforest. It has eco trails to the river and to one of the waterfalls that can be seen from the hotel´s balconies. Each corner of the hotel is full of detail that reflect the hosts commitment with eco design. The hotel also plans adventure and eco tourist trips around the area depending on the guests´ needs.
